📖 What Is a Jubilee?

In the Torah (Leviticus 25), the Jubilee is a sacred 50th year—an appointed time of freedom, restoration, and return. Every seventh year was a Sabbath year, and after seven cycles (7 × 7 = 49), the 50th year was declared the Yovel—the Jubilee.

During the Jubilee year:

• Slaves were set free.

• Debts were forgiven.

• Land returned to ancestral families.

• The land itself rested—no sowing or reaping.

The Jubilee is Heaven’s reset button—a divine rhythm restoring justice, land, identity, and peace.

> “Then YHWH said, ‘My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.’”

This is not just about one person’s lifespan. Genesis 6:3 is a coded timeline. Ancient Hebrew sages—and the Book of Jubilees—understood this to mean 120 Jubilee cycles of 50 years each:
