Drunk on the Wine of Serpents: A Rebuke to the Worthless Shepherds
You have scattered My flock... Now I will attend to YOU. —Jeremiah 23:2
> “Their vine is from the vine of Sodom,
and from the fields of Gomorrah;
their grapes are grapes of venom,
their clusters are bitter.
Their wine is the poison of serpents,
and the cruel venom of asps.”

For centuries, false shepherds have twisted the covenant of Passover into a counterfeit religion. Where once the blood was sprinkled on the doorposts for deliverance, now it is drunk in mockery of Torah.
The Real Passover vs. The Serpent’s Cup
> “You must not eat of the tree... for on the day you eat of it, you will surely die.”

What did the serpent say?
> “You will not surely die...” — Genesis 3:4
The serpent gave them permission to consume what was forbidden.
So too today — shepherds lift the wine cup and say:
> “This is the blood... drink it.”
And the people, like Eve, partake — not knowing they drink judgment on themselves.
Jesus Turned Water into Wine… But Who Asked for It?
Was it the God of Israel who commanded His people to drink red wine and call it blood?
Or was it the voice of a different vine… the vine of Sodom?
The Fruit Was Forbidden.
The Wine Is Blood.
The Shepherds Are Drunk.
The Flock Is Scattered.
Judgment Against the Shepherds
> “Woe to the worthless shepherd,
who deserts the flock!
May a sword strike his arm and his right eye!
May his arm be completely withered,
and his right eye utterly blinded!”

> “You have scattered My flock... I will attend to you for the evil of your deeds.”

A Call to the Remnant
If your shepherd drinks blood in the name of salvation,
If your priest feeds you venom in the name of communion,
If your pastor tells you the Law is finished and the Torah is dead —
Flee.
The true Shepherd is not among them.
Proclaiming a New Exodus
This is not a message of conversion.
This is a message of return.
Return to Torah. Return to the blood of the lamb that is sprinkled, not swallowed.
Return to the covenant of Moshe, not the covenant of Rome.
“They will look upon him whom they pierced... and mourn.”

WHO IS “THIS MAN”?
The verse refers specifically to King Jeconiah (also known as Coniah or Jehoiachin), a descendant of King David through Solomon.
• Jeconiah was part of the royal bloodline.
• He did evil in the eyes of YHWH (Jeremiah 22:24–28).
• So YHWH curses his lineage, saying:
• He’ll be as if childless (i.e., no kings will ever come from him).
• His descendants are banned from the throne of David.
WHY THIS MATTERS FOR JESUS
Luke 3 gives a different genealogy, tracing Jesus through Nathan, another son of David (not Solomon).
• This contradicts 2 Samuel 7:12–13 and 1 Chronicles 22:9–10, which say the Messiah must come through Solomon, not Nathan.
So either way:
Matthew’s line = cursed (Jeconiah)
Luke’s line = invalid (not through Solomon)

Jeremiah 22:30 is a devastating curse for anyone claiming to be Messiah from Jeconiah’s line.
Jesus, according to Matthew, is disqualified by divine decree.
“No man of his seed shall sit upon the throne of David…”
That includes Jesus — if the genealogy in Matthew is true.
